HAS CROSSFIT CHANGED YOUR PERCEPTION ON WHAT A WOMAN COULD/SHOULD LOOK LIKE:
CrossFit has definitely changed my perception on what a woman could look like. When I first started I was one of the many females who thought, “I don’t want to have big muscles” or “I can’t lift heavy I’ll look like a guy.” Those thoughts faded away after I got more involved with CrossFit and began to realize my athletic potential. I felt confident, healthier and stronger. It occurred to me that that was more important…even if I had more muscle definition than most females. Society tends to dictate that there is one perfect shape for a female. CrossFit shows women that being fit comes in all shapes and sizes.

HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF CROSSFIT: 100% band nerd. Over the years I have participated in marching band, drum corps, and percussion ensembles in the woodwind section, bass line or cymbal line. Now I help teach at two high schools for their marching band programs in the percussion section throughout the year.

WHY CROSSFIT MAXABILITY: The strong community and tremendous amount of support are second to none, not to mention I met my future husband here. Maxability makes going to the gym a fun experience that I want to go to everyday. The coaches are fantastic and I couldn’t imagine belonging to any other box.
